While there are several different value drivers, we have grouped them into six core areas to assess the performance of your business and lever up to drive value.
1. CUSTOMERS AND MARKETING
This is probably the most impor- tant of the six business areas. Understanding your customer base, not just by tee segment, but by revenue segment is key. Your facility will have a different customer pro le accessing your restaurant, your pro shop, your golf course, taking lessons, participating in tournaments and renting your facilities for weddings and banquets. Each of these groups have different wants, needs and levers to push to drive more of them to your golf course.
Developing detailed analytics about the customers accessing each of these areas will help you better understand where your business is succeeding and where you’re vulnerable.
Levers To Drive
It will help you better understand your revenue mix and cost struc- ture so you can identify your high versus low margin products and services. For example, when you do the analytics on your restaurant, its lower margin compared to banquets/tournaments/weddings or other events may help you decide to shrink your restaurant
