The Parting Shot
Passing the Torch
As I write my nal President’s message, I am re ecting on everything we have accomplished in the past 2 years.
Your board and I have worked very hard to make a difference for our members. One of our achievements that I’m most proud of is the partnership we developed with the CGSA that provides added bene ts to both organizations.
Bringing Toro, one of the biggest suppliers in our industry, into our Golfmax Program was, in my opinion, a result of both organizations working together. This new member bene t is a game changer for our association.
Another huge win on the Golfmax front is our partnership with Moosehead Beer and I hope everyone is taking advantage of it. There is signi cant marketing support available to NGCOA Canada members for this program.
As I pass the torch to your new President, Lesley McMahon, I would like to thank everyone who served on the board with me.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being your President and I am honoured to have had the opportunity to work with all you. Thank you to Jeff Calderwood, CEO of the NGCOA Canada and the staff for all the guidance that you provided to me. Cheers to the 2019 golf season!
Sincerely,

Moving Forward Together
Hello everyone! I am very proud and honoured to be the new President of this great association. I am especially proud to be the rst female President.
I am a third-generation, hands on golf course operator with an 18-hole course in Red Deer, Alberta. I take great pride in the relationships that I have formed in my business and believe that this has forged our success. No matter how we look at it, we are in the entertainment business and we need to give our customers an experience they will want to repeat. It’s all about building relationships.
I am bringing this philosophy to my role as President of NGCOA Canada. As the next couple of years unfold, I hope to bring a vision of collaboration and success to our members and partners. Working together is the only way to move our industry and our individual businesses forward.
I will work hard for our members to ensure we provide what is most needed and that members are aware of the programs and services and utilize them to their greatest bene t. I hope that all of you take advantage of the opportunities the NGCOA Canada offers and get involved in your association.
It’s a new day in the Canadian golf industry with a fresh approach to collaboration and inclusion and I am so happy that I am going to be part of it.
I hope you all have a very successful 2019 season.
Sincerely,
Lesley McMahon
