Introducing The Revenue Tracker Report
In May 2017, the NGCOA Canada launched the Revenue Tracker to complement the Rounds Played and Weather Reports. The Revenue Tracker includes a sample of over 500 golf facilities from across Canada reporting total Visa, MasterCard, and Debit revenue from all departments (not including cash revenue).
A definite line can be drawn on the map with respect to weather, rounds played and revenue in May 2017. Lower temperatures and a second month of above average pre- cipitation slowed what is traditionally the start to the golf season for the entire nation.
A few regions in Canada had little to no golf played in May due to poor weather, with Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic Prov- inces battling record rainfall and flooding in May 2017. However, some areas including British Columbia, Alberta and the Prairies are starting to show minor improvements over the start of the season. Ironically, the national revenues in May 2017 are up when compared to the 3 year average.
Members are participating and utilizing these reports more than ever. Thank you to all participating members for their efforts!
Your Rounds Played and Weather Report information and data requests will be delivered to your inbox the first Tuesday of each month, or you can view them online at www.ngcoa.ca.
