Rodrigo Teijeiro
Born in Buenos Aires and raised in Argentina and the United States, Rodrigo had all of the markings of an entrepreneur from an early age. In fact, his first E-Trade account earned 20x his initial investment. As a 20- year old senior in high school, armed with a PowerPoint and his natural persuasion, Rodrigo raised $300,000 from three different investors for a website dedicated to independent bands. Then, while attending the University of Southern California,
he turned a common student issue; an excessive charge of US$120
for a collect call from his girlfriend in Buenos Aires, into a profitable business idea. After investigating the calling card business Rodrigo realized he could call Buenos Aires for only two cents using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). Thus, as a 23-year old sophomore in college, Rodrigo started Fnbox with just
two programmers in Ukraine, his girlfriend as the web designer, and his two current partners; Tomas O’Farrell, a marketing expert, and his brother Alvaro, an IT and web designer. Rodrigo remains Founder and CEO of Fnbox which owns Sonico.com, Tarjetastelefonicas. com, Datam.com, Recarga.com and Cuponica.com. Together, these businesses engage with over 100 million people per day in Latin and North America.
Rodrigo is determined to someday become the type of entrepreneur that inspired him. He has lectured on entrepreneurship, internet and innovation at Stanford, MIT, UdeSA, CEMA and the WEF and as views Endeavor as direct and meaningful way to continue giving back to other entrepreneurs.
