THE BRAZILIAN NATIONAL TEAM
The Brazilian Football Federation (in Portuguese, Confederação Brasileira de Futebol or CBF) is the governing body of football in Brazil. The CBF was founded on June 8, 1914, originally known as Federação Brasileira de Sports. The federation joined FIFA, the world governing body of football, in 1923. It finally became known as the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol or CBF on September 24, 1979.
The federation is responsible for developing the sport of football nationally — as well as supporting and maintaining the following teams: U-15, U-17, U-20, U-23 (Olympic), Women’s U-17, Women’s U-20 and the iconic Brazilian Men’s National Team.
