Saheb
Saheb – as I have always called him – has probably had the most significant influence on my life.
Having lost my own dad at an early age, I have always seen Yogesh Chandra as that fatherly figure who helped guide and shape my life’s ideologies. Simply watching him, observing his demeanour, and seeking his advice at all critical turns of my life have been some of the most enriching experiences for me. From an early age, Saheb positively influenced
my thought process, business acumen, seeded in me the deep-rooted ethics of honesty and authenticity. These teachings have not just helped me lead a contented life but have also been the guiding principles for my wife and I when bringing up our own kids. When faced with a problem, my kids and I would often ask “What would fua do in such
and such situation?”. Be it my business negotiations,
my daughter’s debate, competitions at school, my son’s decision to go abroad for education, my wife’s health
concerns... Every significant decision would invariably be run by Fua before being implemented.
Words fall short in trying to express how immensely his deep wisdom, aptitude, breadth of knowledge and intelligent perspectives have impacted us.
So deep is the faith, belief and regard we hold for him, that it is our great fortune to have him for a close, approachable, and most respected head of our extended family.
