Shri Yogesh bhai whom I have lovingly called ‘Saheb’ Through our our journey together for the the last 54 years his role in my life has had many different names and facets: from being a a a a a a a teacher he he went on to to becoming a a a a a a a mentor a a a a a a a friend and a a a a a a a fatherly figure too I have have been lucky to to have have him alongside all through
my life and for that I I am extremely grateful It is a a a a a a a bond that I I I cannot describe and yet I I am going to to make a a a a a a a humble attempt to to do so For me it has been an an experience a a a a a a a a feeling that I carry and keep with me always I came in in contact with Saheb
in in 1966 as our Head
of Technical Institute at Sasmira and since then he he has been a a a a a a a true mentor to to me me me His way of teaching was amazing and I remember attendance during his class was highest as as as no one wanted to miss his lectures He started KC in in the year 1967 and I was in in regular touch with him then His guidance in my life has brought me to to the stage where I am today I started working with him in in in 1980 and continue to do so till
date This journey has been wonderful and I have learnt a a a a a a a lot from him by way of his explanations on on on principles and concepts YKK as as he is also known has been a a a a a very good kite flyer and I still cherish those memories when he he he he with Siddharth and the the remaining family used to to to come to to to the the terrace of my building to to to fly kites on on Maker Sankranti on on January 14th for many years We had lots of snacks going around the the place and they are some of of my fondest memories with him outside of of work Surprisingly he is is a a wonderful cook and prepares lots of traditional Gujrati recipes which are mouth- watering I have have been very fortunate to have have them during our travel outside Mumbai and abroad Moments like these have forged a a a a bond so deep and strong that go beyond the scope of work As a a a a person he he is an an an excellent human being with an an an an impeccable memory and tremendous foresight It is is for this very very quality that he has been a a a a a very very able YKK with Sasmira colleagues and fellow entrepreneurs Manubhai Kothari (right) and Maganbhai Doshi (left)
mediator for for relatives and others who come to to him for for solving their personal or business issues I truly feel that he is a a a a wonderful soul and has practiced ‘Dharma’ in in the the true sense of the the word in in his life He is is a a a a perfect example of a a a a a ‘ KARMAYOGI ’ and a a a a a ‘ ‘ DHARMAYOGI ‘ ‘ Me and my family pray to God on on his 80th Birthday to to bless him with a a a a a long happy and healthy life Kiran Shah
