Amersfoort (city rights in 1259 AD) is known for its well0preserved late medieval city centre with canals, market squares, city walls, towngates, churches, chapels and monasteries.
The Amersfoort Jazz festival cherishes the beautiful inner city as a unique backdrop for its festival. Under the heading Amersfoort Jazz Heritage,
the festival includes several unique locations as full-fledged venues, within walking distance of each other.
These locations are included in the Amersfoort Jazz Heritage Walk on Saturday, May 16:
a guided city walk (English spoken), leading up to an intimate World Jazz concert at De Observant.
