it put this song on the map in a giant way. This week alone, the label’s David Jacobs picks up KROQ, KYSR, WNYL and KKDO, among others. If the format went by a streaming chart, it would be #3. If it went by an audience chart, it already would be #28 as it gets ready to chart right now.

We do know Republic’s Post Malone has one of the big- gest songs to come out in the last few years with “Circles.” This track is so special, it makes me smile that it’s on Alt radio. How about KROQ’s add into Power rotation this week! Thanks Mike Kaplan!! If the format went by a streaming chart, it would be #1. If we looked at the powerful Entercom chain in the format, it would be #10 in spins.
Have you spent any time with 88Rising/12Tone’s Joji on his single “Run”? If you haven’t, please do, as we are seeing some strong early airplay at KXTE, Alt Nation, KITS, KROQ, WNYL and KDKB, among others. If the format went by a streaming chart, it would be #4. If it went by an audience chart, it would be #26. It looks to make its chart debut this week with total spins, which is great!
I just love that Republic’s Glass Animals are off to their best start ever at Alternative radio. The first single, “Your Love (Déjà Vu),” is Top 10 in streaming and Top 15 in audience.
We talked a couple weeks back on how impressive the launch was with RCA’s The Strokes on “Bad Decisions,” as we see the streaming also inside the Top 10 and quickly approach- ing Top 20 in spins.
A record to watch is Arista’s KennyHoopla with “How Will
I Rest in Peace If....” It made its chart debut this week and the buzzing track already has 11 of the 14 Entercom stations playing, which really says something.
We also saw a real nice uptick this week with AWAL’s FINNEAS on “Let’s Fall in Love for the Night” with streaming this week, close to 2m!
As we get moving in the second quarter of the year, Columbia has a couple of records that have shot out of the cannon. Please check out 24kGoldn’s “City of Angels,” which sounds great on KROQ! I also love Powfu’s “death bed,” f/ beabadoobee which has KITS, Alt Nation, Music Choice, KUCD and WLKK already jumping in! I forgot to mention this one has 5m streams this week!
times appear out of nowhere and take over the conver- sation. We have that with Mom+Pop’s Ashe on “Moral of The Story.” The Spotify and Apple streams alone on this track are close to 8m just this week, all thanks to a Netflix film—To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You. I would suggest that since sports are done for a while to check this out and see what the kids are watch-

has another AJR smash on his hands with “Bang!” It has every- thing you would want in a big hit as we’re seeing 2m streams a week, market ranking Shazams, top sales at iTunes and a fantas- tic list of new stations including KYSR, KROQ, DC101, WBUZ, WEXX, KFRR, WQSH and WJMZ- F2, among others! By stream- ing chart figures, it would be #5 on the chart. If it went by an audience chart, it would already be #14. It was this week’s great- est gainer and moved in total spins by 31*-22*.
I just got back from the craziest Costco visit I have ever had. I had no luck with toilet paper, but they did have water! I would think that most of us who work in an office will now be working from home at some point soon. So, let’s get you up to speed since we will have more time on our hands to get familiar with the buzzing records in the Spotify/Modern Rock landscape.
The Killers return this week with their brand-new single “Caution.” Island/Republic’s Amanda Dobbins and Drew Hauser will have one of those rare moments and will close out 100% of the panel in the opening week! Look for this one to go Top 10 in about a week.
The beauty of this streaming world now is that songs some-
