Page 37 - Labyrinth--Suburban Stardust
P. 37
Timid and demure classmates
Sitting at the back of the classroom
Never chatting or participating
Feelings and thoughts revealed through their fearful eyes
Bloodshot from a lack of sleep every night Impossible to keep their eyes shut, as fright- ening nightmares are continuously thrust upon them
The thoughts of being hurt cross their mind now and then
But as the moon shines through their bed- room window
There is no one ever there to help
Left abandoned, even by their own parents Too ashamed to ask for help
No one care in the world for them Constantly afraid of what may happen
Being abstained from what they love to do Feeling locked up as if they were in prison
Never a name put on the people they are Never known by anyone around
A nefarious animal searching for a victim Perniciously seeking out its enemies
It seems to never change
Such hate for everyone around
How could it be so possible, God only knows No one there to ever tell them what is right and what is wrong
Enjoying the cruel pain they cause everyone Emotionally and physically
Many too afraid to stand up to them Scared of being defeated themselves
Peace only comes when told to stop
Yet, still a worry in the face of a person
As they know it will stick with them for life
