Page 77 - Labyrinth--Suburban Stardust
P. 77
She strolled confidently through the halls, commanding and powerful,
making some fearful
while others watched in awe
An excited smile
permanently plastered across her face and with kind features she built a base where people could be themselves
She stood her ground
and spread her beliefs
that make you sigh in relief because finally, someone agreed
She was loved by everyone
Pulling them in with her accepting presence and profound essence.
She was happy.
Until she wasn’t.
Until the desperation was so evident in her eyes, the eyes that held the skies,
that you couldn’t just pass by.
Until she changed.
Her clothes became ill fitting, and her words were hard hitting and people began to worry
She walked the halls,
lost and scared,
while others stared
as she tried to stay hidden
She spoke quietly
and wondered why she was born, why she was so torn,
why she wasn’t happy anymore.
And all along I watched from afar wondering,
oh, what could have gone so wrong?
