You look up to the sky and get teary eyed Those shades of yellow, orange, and pink glide The sun a burning sphere of gold You want to reach out and grab ahold.
Your toes wiggle in the sand wherever Wishing you could just stay in this moment forever But it is growing darker and colder You watch the wave’s crash up against a boulder You get up with great sorrow Knowing that you will be leaving this place tomorrow You soak up those last rays of sun Your families packing has already begun You know when you get home you will be greeted with cold The sun back home doesn’t shine such a brilliant gold This place has stolen your heart Its beaches looking like works of art
You know you will be back one day Even though that might be years away You grab one final seashell As you walk away you turn back and wave farewell.
