Two things I do want to draw your attention to are how to return to your
Dashboard and Themes. Hover over your site name again and you will see that
your options are Dashboard and Themes. You know what Dashboard is as you
have been using it in previous sections and all you have to do is click on that and
you will get back to it.
A theme is a group of graphics, code, etc. which
controls the design, layout, and style of a website. The
SiteWorks team has created and installed a u3a-
specific theme. You should have no reason to change
it. With WordPress 6.3 clicking on Themes takes you
to the Appearance section of the Dashboard and here
you can see the Editor option. This is another way of
accessing your pages for editing when logged on as
Admin.
One of the resources listed earlier for your use is the SiteWorks Alpha Overview
video. It is 24 minutes long and an excellent resource. If you haven’t watched it
already then now would be a good time to do so as our SiteWorks team member,
Nick Talbott, will be demonstrating many of the things you are going to be
learning and trying out for yourself in this and following sections. Here is the link
again - https://siteworks.u3a.org.uk/u3a-siteworks-training/introduction-video/
Edit an Existing Page in Site View
Go back to the Visit Site option if you are not already there. An option top left is
Edit Page. Select that and the same page is on screen but it looks a little
different and the page content is now editable.
