Your Exciting Journey is
Just Beginning!

Your journey is never over until you or someone else decides it’s over. In
fact, an exciting journey is just beginning as you emerge into the sunlight
of freedom.

As you well know, living in a cage is no way to live. Yes, you’ve experienced
the endless barriers, deadly traps, and hopelessness of the criminal justice
maze. But you’re a survivor and wiser than the day you got locked away.
Now it’s time to move on with a combination of realistic hopes and concrete
actions that will make a big difference in your life and those around you.

Like many others, you have both hopes and fears. Accordingly, I designed
this journal as a roadmap, but with one major difference. It’s a hopeful road-
map that you create for your long-term success. While it serves as a helping
hand, no one other than you can turn this roadmap into an exciting reality.

If you plan your re-entry right and then implement your plan with en-
thusiasm, you’re going to make it on the outside for good! Indeed, you’ll
discover there is a wonderful life in the free world awaiting those who have
the right attitudes, acquire new habits, and recognize the importance of ini-
tiative, drive, persistence, and responsibility in achieving success.

While you may occasionally stumble and fall, experience rejections, and
face disappointments, in the end you will succeed, because you discovered
how to better plan and implement your future. You will know what’s really
important for moving on with your life. Persistent and tenacious, you will get
up and dust yourself off again and again until you get it right. In fact, there’s
no substitute for the wisdom of trying again and again until you succeed.

This book will help you do all the right things you need to do over the next
99 days. Just make sure you complete the following pages from beginning
to end. Most important of all, make re-entry a full-time job. You owe it
to yourself, and your loved ones, to make it happen for the rest of your life!
