Hi there Hailstones the size of golf balls caused havoc in Elliot on
Shades of 2006. Monday afternoon
A severe hailstorm hit Elliot DC Boucher with the hail he
(Ecowa) at 16h30 on collected
M o n d a y a f t e r n o o n .
Fortunately there was no
driving wind behind the hail
as there was in 2006 when
10 000 windows in Elliot
were broken.
There is still a lot of damage.
Residents are still accessing
the extent of the damage.
Most houses have holes as
big as golf balls and bigger in
the gutters and awnings.
People took pictures of the
hail, comparing the stones
to eggs and golf balls.
The parking lots of Spar and
Shoprite had many cars
parked in them when the
hailstorm hit. The cars were
damaged and windscreens
smashed.
Hopefully the people will be
able to get things repaired
soon.
We trust that the various the residents.
