Crosswalks
Problem
Nearly every brick crosswalk in the square is infested with asphalt patches large and small Some new concrete paver crosswalks have been installed but the majority are in poor condition Additionally some sections of these brick crosswalks have settled creating an uneven walking surface Solution
Asphalt patches should be removed and brick work restored to to original appearance Areas that have settled should be removed and reset level with the the rest of the the crosswalk Alternatively entire crosswalks could be replaced with more durable concrete asphalt pavers as as has been recently undertak- en at at the Chester Street crosswalk at at Elm Street 26
