“The Magazine for the Emerging by the Emerging”
In three words, describe your photography style?
Fierce, Vibrant, Natural
This shoot really shows so many layers of style and emotions when viewing.
What was your fashion and photography inspiration on set?
For this shoot, I was inspired to do an edgy look while also using soft, airy fabrics. I thought, “how can I incorporate both in one shot?”. As
I thrift shopped for the wardrobe, it started slowly coming to me. An edgy strong woman in her chic suit is stripping down at the beach, becoming more comfortable and light. I wanted to capture a soft feminine feel with a side of a classy and edginess. Model, Carolina Sheele, gave me both the looks I was going
for, starting with the fierce black open suit up on the rocks. Later, to an oversized tan coat paired with a black cropped turtleneck and a bikini bottom, for a more relaxed look. Lastly, stripping down to a bralette and having a soft sheer fabric flowing in the wind for the free feeling I was looking for.
Do you have any projects you’re currently working on?
I always have a project in the works, not to mention my Pinterest board filled with ideas. My next project is an ongoing series I have been working on known as the Hispanic Heritage Series. It’s something I release every year around September just in time to rep my inner Latina.
Lastly, if someone wanted to hire you as a photographer
how can they reach out to you?
I can be reached by email found on my personal website at www.gzelphotography. com. If you simply wanted to check out more of my work, I can be easily found on one of my social media platforms.
