even though it was quite hard to hear some of her experiences, there is not enough space to convey all.
We need to keep this ministry in our daily prayers, also the people who work diligently for these folk.
Our last session was testimony
time, asking ladies to speak on how they knew they could say ‘I AM A CHILD OF GOD’. From this came
much blessing, also the realisation
that we need to be aware of
everyone within our Army family,
and support them in every way we can.
We then shared a meal together before we left for home.
What a day! Did I say retreat day? I am sure we all would agree it was A TREAT DAY.
A Blessing used which we could pray for ourselves:
May God bless you with a restless discomfort about easy answers, half truths and superficial relationships so that you may seek truth boldly and love deep within your heart.
May God bless you with holy anger at injustice, oppression and exploitation of people, that you may work tirelessly for justice, freedom and peace among all people.
May God bless you with the gift of tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, or the loss of all they cherish, o that you may reach our your hand and transform their pain to joy.
May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you really can make a difference in this world, so that you are able, with God’s
grace, to do what others claim cannot be done.
