Well, shoot.” These were the words my lovely wife murmured as they announced the Best Website award for Class IV. She had won best website before in our class and had high hopes of winning again after making some design tweaks.
For those of you who are unaware of the PCA National judging system, Regions are put into classes based on size. We, the Kansas City Region, are put in Class IV. This means when comparing websites
and newsletters, we are compared to like sized Regions. Keeps things fair.
However, PCA National does take it one step farther. They compare all the 1st place winners from Class I, II, III, IV, V, and VI to decide a Best in the Nation winner. And this year, as my lovely wife sat disappointed, thinking she had been snubbed, they announced “the best overall website award goes to The Kansas City Region, with Webmaster Deborah Thorne!”
