It is mostly original, except for the rear hatch, which I am told the original owner replaced with an ’85 model, as he wanted the third brake light.
I also own a 1966 Ford Mustang. When I was younger, my Dad and I put a new motor in. I will always remember the first time we started it up and how excited we were to hear it running again.
10. Why did you buy your Porsche?
I have always had a love for cars, so in high school I decided to take a few auto mechanic classes. The cars we would work on as part of that class were cars donated to the school for various reasons. At one point, we had a Porsche 944 donated that did not run, I was immediately drawn to the cars styling and knew I had to have it. Without knowing the issue with the car, the school let me buy it for one dollar. Unfortunately, before I ever had a chance to fix or drive the car, it was stolen from the schools lot and I never saw it again. Because of that, I have always wanted to own another one and when I saw the one I have now for sale here in town, I had to have it.
