into a fun habit. Whenever we
went to dinner on a special date, anniversary, birthday, etc, we would write the date and event on the cork. Those corks were saved and filled up the glass vase. Then a wall cork board, and now a box. Each cork
is a reminder of fun memories. We have a lot of corks. Hint. Hint.
The chess board was my father’s. He taught me how to play and I taught my girls to play. These days they are more interested in their phones than playing a game with me. I bet there was a time when I declined to play a game with my dad. I’d give anything for the chance to play one more game with him.
The phone? Well, it is only really 1/3 phone. The other 2/3rds is a humidor. I never really smoked that many cigars, but I remember a few nights after a day on the track when they set the perfect tone.
