MEET A CLUB MEMBER
The KCRPCA is made up of a wonderful and diverse group of club members. We come from all walks of life and backgrounds. As Membership Chair, I always enjoy learning a little bit about everyone. In this month’s edition of the Der Sportwagen, I would like to introduce this month’s feature: very special club member Rick Stremmel.

1WHAT YEAR DID YOU JOIN THE PCA?
I joined in 2007.
2WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania. Moved to Kansas City in June 2020.
Not one to sit idly by, I made a few phone calls to some local dealers.
I told them what I was looking for and then crossed my fingers. A month or two passed. That’s when
I got the phone call, “Rick I’ve got your car. It has yellow belts, yellow stitching on the seats, yellow roll bar and even yellow dials. But, it does have one drawback. It’s a manual.” It was as if the heavens parted and a yellow answer to prayer appeared! I immediately gave him a deposit and my son and I went to get it as soon as possible.
5WHAT LINE OF WORK ARE YOU IN?
I am retired now. But I was a Manufacturers Rep for several car companies. I was with Nissan for

Living with my son Kevin and his family. My wife passed away in April of 2020 from Cancer.
4WHICH PORSCHE AND HOW DID YOU GET IT? I drive a yellow 2018 718 Boxster S 6 speed. I put a deposit down and was playing the waiting game.
