There were three pieces. The base, the globe and a miniature Cayman. All three were of a heavy metal and copper in color.
stare at the little car. Where did it go? There were road-like markings everywhere. Which way was up?
I decided to balance the car on top of the globe. But as I steadied my hand, reading the Cayman for it’s mount, magic happened. The Cayman was snatched out of my  ngers. The globe was magnetic!
Then the light in my head switched on. Porsche was demonstrating, so cleverly, that a Porsche 718 Cayman could hold itself around the world. Of course I had to test it, so I angled the globe one way and then another, tilting the car this way and that. The little magnetic car held tightly to the globe, even upside down!
I am sure someone in the Porsche design studio had a great deal of fun producing this promotional object. I know I’m having fun playing with it. My “What’s it” will forever have a spot of honor in my of ce. Now if I can just talk my wife into letting me purchase the real thing.
