Prior to this, I served for 20 years in the United States Army as a Field Artillery of cer. I knew I wanted to be a Soldier when I was in middle school. I retired in June 2017 as a Lieutenant Colonel. During that time, I spent 9 1⁄2 years in leadership positions in 3 different eld artillery battalions, and the last 5 years educating and training future of cers in two ROTC programs, Eastern Kentucky University and Wentworth Military Academy and College. I deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom in February 2003 and was there for the ground invasion in March 2003. I deployed to Iraq for a second, 1-year tour during the surge in 2007, and my last deployment was to Afghanistan, with Operation
Enduring Freedom, in 2010.
It’s very original and still looks good overall. The paint and the interior are original and have held up well all of this time.
7. Next upgrade?
Now that my 944 has over 90,000 miles, and a little age, it is time for a new suspension. The question remains, will it be Koni, Escort, or KW, and will I keep or remove the torsion bars? Vitesse, along with head work and piston sleeving is the next planned upgrade after the suspension is complete. 16” tires are getting harder to nd, that might necessitate a wheel upgrade to newer Porsche wheels.
