holiday ride in your Porsche is a great way to celebrate the season! This year’s KCRPCA Christmas
party was at Union Station again. The magic of the building, its decorations, its stately grandeur, and its Christmas cheer keep bringing us back.
With echoes of the World Champi- ons KC Royals public reception in our minds, we walked thru the double brass door entry to a festive atmosphere of twinkling lights, garland and anticipa- tion. From the distance I could hear laughter from young children. Their joy- ous noise seemed to greet us as we left the brisk outdoor winds behind and en- tered to gather with friends and celebrate this wonderful time of year.
The KCRPCA has reserved the upper deck of Harvey House restaurant for the last few years in a row. It is a great place to enjoy the views of this beautifully decorated historic train station. With our President, Stan Thorne, absent on busi- ness travels, his gracious wife, Deborah Thorne, went around and greeted each table. A festive toast was given to ac- knowledging accomplishments by club members with hopes of even more fun next year!
A delicious buffet dinner was on the lower level. Laughter and lively conver- sation could be heard as every morsel disappeared....... Then there was dessert!
As with all our social events, departure came too soon and hugs and good-byes were given -- just like a train station. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
