In 2013, I test drove a Panamera GTS, Carmine Red with Luxor Beige interior. That car changed my opinion about the Panamera. The new Tursimo model had the look of a stretched out and low- ered Cayenne, so, I decide to give this car a look. Porsche Kansas City had one of the newly redesigned Panameras, in the 4S model. The test drive sold me on the new car. I decided the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Tursimo checked all the boxes. The search was on for the car.
Since the Turismo models were in high demand in Europe, and the E-Hybrid model was in short supply, I had to order the car to get the color and options I wanted. Unfortunately, there were only 12 Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo’s available to the USA, and eight cars were already spoken for. Porsche Kansas City con- tacted the four dealerships that had the open allocations and one dealer in New York was willing to give up their allocation. Porsche KC really came through.
The car was ordered and six long months later the car was deliv- ered. Each time I drive the Panamera, I find more things that I like about the car. The biggest item is the Electric Machine, E-Hybrid. The instant torque is amazing, (I can only imagine what the Taycan will be like!). In addition, each time the car is parked and plugged in, it is refueling, something that you don’t think about since your car is parked most of the time.
This car allows you to drive in four different modes, Electric, Hybrid, Sport, and Sport Plus. So, whether you want economy, comfort, performance, or love the sound of an internal combustion engine, this car provides it all. Venture on!

TBD, but, still have not put gas in the car delivery
After driving my 2015 Cayenne Diesel
for three years, and after receiving a
nice check from VW Group and Bosch
for Dieselgate, I decided to sell the Cayenne.
Without a daily driver Porsche, the hunt for
the new vehicle started. The Cayenne was a
great over the road vehicle and the mpg was
incredible, my best topping out at 39 mpg
and 810 mile range. Thus, I was interested in something that had comfort for long trips, good fuel mileage, and of course, perfor- mance when the urge demanded it, which is most of the time.
