most parking places. Like last year, when the Kansas City Porsche Club ended up with 62 registered cars and another 15 on display. Alas, the BMW folks came out in greater numbers and we humbly had to relinquish the trophy... There is always next year!
The fun part of this show is the Porsche - People’s Choice car show competition. I increased the classes this year to try and differentiate the various Porsche models and hopefully increase diversity. We did have broad representation and maybe next year we can nd the elusive 914 among the contenders. Thanks to all who participated and special thanks to Robert Serra for bringing his awesome 904 Carrera GTS out (which took home the Best of Show Air-cooled!) We don’t often get to see such a rarity on the road.
I want to say thanks to Don Richards, Mike Ryhak, Agelon Jones, and Jeff Wagoner for helping me with putting this event ,together. Without these guys, I couldn’t have done this. I also need to recognize the docents from the Kansas City Auto Museum for volunteering to help and get all the cars parked in the right place.
This was my rst time coordinating this show and I want to say thanks to everyone for being patient. We will need to bring out an additional 20 Porsches next year to take back the PIG!
