In the last edition of the Der Sportwagen, Sep/Oct ‘22,
I had the opportunity to interview club member Jim Nance. I learned about his 914.
I learned about its history, what makes it special, it’s horsepower and sit in the car . I really enjoyed
Ray Steeble. I got to ask him questions and learn about his ‘86 944 Turbo.
We met at Ray’s house. When we pulled up the car was sitting outside, black, shiny and looking fast. Ray told us about his 31 year history with the car. I

the process of meeting Jim, asking questions, my Dad taking pictures, and then seeing what Stan Thorne, Editor of the Der Sportwagen, did to produce the final video. His video was pretty cool. You can watch the full video interview with Jim HERE.
For my sixth interview of the year, Stan connected me with KCRPCA club member
learned that it has had extensive engine work and Ray even took it racing! Overall I learned a lot.
