Being undaunted, Steve scrolled thru his phone and found another nearby winery. Upon arrival, yet another gravel road greeted us. Back to the phone. This time we were rewarded, after a little more driving, with
a quaint winery located near
the Higginsville/I-70 exit. Well off the service road, nestled in

procession moved by. Further down the road, three jean clad boys gave a thumbs up to each
car.But often planned adventures take an unexpected turn. After stopping in Lexington for a quick breather, I joined Steve and Dubravka Gray on a search for
a nearby winery. Unfortunately, said winery was down two miles of gravel covered, dust exploding dirt country road. At the gentle speed of nine, we crept toward the winery. Our reward? The winery was closed.
