NEW MEMBERS, NEW EVENTS, SAME GREAT CLUB!

Well, it’s been an eventful year so far. The Kansas City Region Porsche
Club continues to grow; we had
7 new members join in August,
plus there are 10 PCA Test Drive participants searching for Porsches of their liking. We’re holding at 513 Primary members and 309 Affiliate members (their account sharer). If you haven’t designated an affiliate, remember you can share a Porsche Club membership with your spouse, business partner, adult child, or best friend.

On the PCA National Stage, KCRPCA’s Mrs. Deborah
Thorne won a Group IV award
for the “Best Region Website”, based on our region’s primary membership size. Mr. Stan Thorne won the “Betty Jo Turner Award” recognizing his editorial leadership and “Der Sportwagen” as PCA’s Best Newsletter in the Nation. Congratulations Deborah and Stan, your accolades are well deserved.

There were 2 Driving Tours over the last few weeks and Porsche camaraderie was high on our list. This month (Sept) there’s our second Driver’s Education (DE)
at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, Kansas. Later this month on September 20th, we’ll have our first Autocross in several months. October will be another boom with activities the first 3 weekends,
I’d like to acknowledge, with respect, the recent passing of Mr. Gary Simmons. Gary has been a PCA member and proud 356 owner with the Kansas City Region for over 30 years. Unfortunately,
