FROM THE TOP
THE NEW NORMAL
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES.
PRESIDENT
What a difference a year makes.
Last year we spent the majority
of spring trying to outguess the weather. Wondering, would it rain out the next event? The weather was changing as much as the Porsche shirts we wore to breakfast. Can we get the Autocross in?; remember last year when we set
up the Autocross only to watch the skies rapidly change direction, and then narrowly get everything back in the trailer before a downpour soaked everything. Do you remember the Driving Tour scheduled the day before?; we stood around with 50 other members as we waited to determine if rain would hold off
and the Driving Tour could happen? It didn’t rain and the drive was successful.
Ah, those were the days. Because we could be outside, enjoying
the companionship of our fellow members, family, friends, and everyday normalcy. This temporary new normal may change a lot of things we take for granted, but we resolve to return to the security we felt with everyday life.
Stay strong, be safe, wear your mask, and you’re too close... 6 feet apart, remember.
Please be aware this is also an opportunity for scam artists to
take advantage. If you receive an email, phone call or text, asking you to purchase gift cards, or to send money, please don’t do it. KCRPCA and PCA will never make random contact and ask you to send gift cards or funds.
