OFF TO A GREAT START!
THE FIRST EVENTS WERE A SUCCESS – AND THERE IS MORE TO COME!
SOCIAL CHAIR
With the first few months
of 2022 behind us, let’s look back at the various opportunities to connect with fellow KCRPCA members. We added in
a few new things to kick start the year. We held the Changing of the Guard at Pinstripes and we ‘teed- up’ a great time at Top Golf. As
an extension of our driving events, Fred Quintana, Mike Rehak and T Jones implemented the new online SIM Racing Competition. We got to enjoy our own private showing
at the KC Automotive Museum,
and the exhibit even included
a few Porsches from our own membership! Throw in a Rolex 24 watch party that became the AFC Championship watch party, and then several Saturday morning breakfasts and our first eight weeks of 2022 is a wrap!
In March, we’ll kick things off with a Happy Hour at Johnny’s Tavern to welcome the start of warmer weather. The third SIM
Race will help the racing enthusiasts continue to hone their skills. We’ll have a new member dinner and social to officially welcome those new to the club in 2021-2022. For our Formula 1 fans, we’ll have a watch party to see how things get started in Bahrain. We can only hope this season will be as exciting as the last. The final F1 race for 2021 was a heart stopper for sure!
In April we’ll get rolling, literally, with a Driving Tour to Lawrence. The fourth SIM race gets underway, and we’ll have a Shade Tree tech session. There will be racing excitement and fun at the first Club Race and Drivers Education event and we’ll end the month with a dinner and social on the 30th.
We have lots of events lined
up this year. I hope you’ll find something of interest and come join the fun!
