YEARS
Hubert Brundage, the Brumos patriarch, bought a VW dealership in 1953. By 1955, Brundage became the first to campaign Porsches on U.S street and road courses, including Sebring in 1960.
Just as his racing status was on the rise, Brundage was killed in a non-racing auto accident. Shortly afterwards, a friend of Brundage, Peter Gregg, stepped up and
Florida landscape, just south of Jacksonville. Compared to the Petterson collection in California or the Revs in Naples, Florida, this is a compact collection. However, not only does it cater to a collection of racing cars from 1894 to 2017, but engines, trophies and other vintage automotive equipment are beautifully displayed.
Tucked away in the tropical bushland of northeastern Florida lies a collection of antique racing cars. It is the Brumos Collection. Noted for its array of racing Porsches that contested both here and abroad, the name Brumos will forever be linked with Porsche.
