All of us appreciate and enjoyed this dedication to detail. Big thanks to Ric Smith for providing the excellent meat.
When the buffet line started, there were several BIG pans of brisket, ribs and sausage. Every available space on the countertops were lled with the widest range of side dishes brought by members. The side room was lled with desserts; Needless to say, all attendees were very pleased with this feast; much thanks to Holly and Dave Stadtmueller for their management of the event.
There were about 65 in attendance; plenty of seating in the upscale garage or inside where it was cooler. What a beautiful home for this event; to catch up with friends and welcome new mem- bers. Much laughter and many stories could be heard – some were even believ- able!
One of the main highlights of the eve- ning was having Maggie Garnett, PCA National Social Media Advisor, an- nounce and present two awards. (with trophies!) The rst award went to Presi- dent and Editor of the Der Sportwagon, Stan Thorne, for 1st in Class Newslet- ter. That makes three years in a row our Der Sportwagen newsletter has won an award. The second award went to Deb Thorne, Club Webmeister for 1st in

hat a wonderful evening it I was informed by the resident BBQ was! Did I mention it was Master Chuck Vossler that preparation, HOT? Driving to the Porsche cooking and smoking the meat required
outside temperature gauge on the 911 showed 104 degrees!
As we drove under the lush green tree canopy, the temperature soon dropped to 99! But the heat didn’t seem to matter to many once the hottest Porsches in the area started to show up and the wonder- ful aroma of BBQ lled the air. Welcome to the annual KCRPCA BBQ dinner!
