main attraction by far. I had been invited also to display my silver 1996 Porsche 993 Twin Turbo, which got a few inqui- ries. Dave Stadtmueller + Holly Juck- ette of KCR PCA were also on hand to display their newly restored gorgeous yellow 1951 Packard convertible. Vari- ous other makes, such as a perfect 1973 Pantera with a fully chromed engine was displayed next to me.
This bene t was able to raise more than $28,000 for these museums. There were food trucks serving up excellent food and as the morning moved along, it was obvious that the show had brought out plenty of KC car enthusiasts. There was plenty of interaction, as many saw cars from their families’ or their own past and many owners were able to discuss their vehicle with the many admirers.
There were so many cars that it took several walkarounds just to see them all; stopping for that special car of interest and talking with other owners. For a rst time event of such magnitude, things went pretty well. Many thanks to Jan Huckleberry and Butch Papon of the KC Auto Museum for their efforts in putting on this amazing Great Car Show! Here’s hoping that this event can continue next year and become Kansas City’s premier automobile event.
