Site planning concepts emphasize preserving the island environment, orienting buildings to take advantage
of daylighting, providing solar access and natural ventilation, and blending Improvements into the site. Each Homesite has development criteria in the Community Plan, Homesite Matrix, and Homesite Diagram to
assist Owners in understanding each site’s potential and characteristics.
 e Homesite Diagram consists of two components:
1. A Homesite Diagram Base Map - showing existing environmental conditions and the principal design criteria (such as Improvement and Building Envelopes, Building Height, and Maximum Gross Square Footage and for the schematichomedesigns,maximumridgeline height, and suggested driveway access) and;

The purpose of the Homesite Diagram (base map and overlay) is to assist the Owner in understanding existing site conditions and how a house, and other site improvements, can both respect and make full use of the features of the site.
