APOLLO 9 CSM IN EARTH ORBIT
The Apollo 9 Command-Service Module (CSM), nicknamed Gumdrop, is shown flying 118 miles above the Earth surface in March 1969. The Apollo 9 mission was performed to test the CSM and Lunar Excursion Module (LEM) rendezvous and docking.
