APOLLO 14 LANDING AREA
A front view of the Apollo 14 Lunar Excursion Module (LEM) while resting on the moon surface on February 5, 1971. The ship reflects a circular flare caused by the sun. The LEM’s pilot, Edgar Mitchell, can be seen at the extreme left. The lunar lander allowed the Apollo astronauts to stay on the moon for between one and three days.
