Once attached to the Rover, this unit could transmit directly to Earth the images captured by the TV camera mounted on the Lunar Rover.

LASER RANGING RETROREFLECTOR
This device—planted on the moon by Apollos 11, 14, and 15—is still used to accurately measure the distance between the satellite and the Earth at any moment.
GNOMON
The sun’s shadow projected by this device allowed for the determination of the scale and orientation of the rocks photographed by astronauts prior to being collected.
The rocks collected on the moon were cleaned of soil particles with this brush.
