CLINICAL STUDY #1: YOUNG ADULTS
NeoLife collaborated with researchers at a leading University in the U.K. to conduct a short-term clinical study assessing the effects of Botanical Balance on glucose management and feelings of hunger in young adults.
The study researchers first recruited 33 healthy, young adults from the ages of 18 to 30 years old. Before the test, the subjects
were divided into two groups. Subjects received either 4 Botanical Balance tablets (2 the evening before and 2 the morning of the test) or 4 dummy tablets (placebo) at the same time. The young adults were asked to drink a glucose drink and then their blood was measured at 30-minute intervals to see how well their body was able to deal with the glucose. Having a spike in blood glucose and then a drop is normal but when the number stayshigh,thisindicatespoorglucosecontrol and can be problematic. It’s incredible to see what the researchers found. There was a significant effect on the blood glucose curve in the group that took Botanical Balance.
RESULT = A STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE IN BLOOD GLUCOSE CURVE!*
At 60 minutes, those who consumed Botanical Balance had lower blood glucose levels. This indicated that perhaps glucose was cleared more quickly from the blood.*
Astonishingly, there were more results to Botanical Balance that are most interesting— the researchers found an effect of the product on hunger!
RESULT = LESS HUNGER WITH BOTANICAL BALANCE
In the graph below you can see that the young adults who had taken Botanical Balance reported less hunger. This effect happened in the short-term in as little as 30 minutes after initial intake!
CLINICAL STUDY #2: RESULTS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON
The study in young adults served as our starting point before moving on to a longer- term study in older adults, which was completed in December 2019. This study was more comprehensive and investigated the effects of a daily intake of 4 tablets (2x2) of Botanical Balance on blood glucose control, blood lipids (cholesterol), and measures of cognitive performance such as memory, focussed attention as well as mood and hunger.
