Fiddlehead
In 1924, William Cross, a master jeweler
in Portland, Maine, hand-carved this design for his daughter’s 16th birthday. He chose the
fiddlehead motif for its symbolism of new life, purity, peace, and the strength of relationship.
The original ring has been handed down
to four generations of daughters in the Cross family.
