              Celebrating Our Alumni
For over 20 years, First Tee – Tampa Bay has guided kids and teens to show up stronger in everything they set out to accomplish. We have helped them grow through challenges and empowered them to craft their personal stories. We are proud to see our alumni using the skills they learned as a participant with First Tee – Tampa Bay and applying them to college, careers, and everyday life.
Their accomplishments are impressive, both on and off the course. Our alumni include current students near and far, as distant as Washington and Lee University in Virginia to local schools like Hillsborough Community College and University of Tampa. They are graduates of top institutions such as University of Florida, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and University of South Florida, to name a few. And they have become Graphic Designers, PGA and LPGA Professionals, Biologists, APGA Tour Players, Nurses, First Tee Coaches, Veterinarians, Dentists, Financial Advisors, Data Analysts, and more. Our alumni are making an impact each day in communities across the country. The stories that follow shine a light on their success.
Today’s young people are facing new challenges every day, and our work has never been more important. At First Tee, 98% of teens who stay in our program graduate high school, and 84% attend post-secondary education. Our goal is to continue to build upon this foundation and empower more youth each year.
From the beginning, we have been an industry leader in reaching young people in our community by providing access and opportunities that open doors through the game of golf. From school-based initiatives to green-grass programs, and everything in between, we strive to provide a positive experience and a space where youth can learn and grow to become their best selves. We are so proud of these alumni and are excited for the future youth in our program to follow in their footsteps.
