Older toddlers to do activities for pre-schoolers. Younger toddlers to sing 'I Love Mummy' instead.
This should be sung the weeks before and after Mother’s Day only. If it’s in your plan and it is not one of those weeks, switch it for another action song.
1. Reveal a picture of a woman in your life you want to thank on Mother’s Day. Ask the children to guess who is in the picture. "The woman in this picture is my mum/aunt/gran. I brought it to show you because very soon it will be Mother's Day/we have just had Mother’s Day, which is a day when we say thank you to all the special women who help take care of us. Now let’s think of a way to say thank you to our mummies, aunties and grandmas.”

Ask volunteers to suggest new verses and actions. If the children have trouble coming up with ideas, offer some suggestions for them to choose from. Repeat the chorus in between each verse.
