Lesson Plan
1. Warm-up: ‘Shake Your Sillies Out’ performed by The Wiggles See term four lesson one. Make sure to use lots of energy!

2. Stretching and curling: Moody Cat See term four lesson one.
* Running time approx. 3 mins.
3. Travel to Danceland: ‘Indiana Jones (Main Theme)’ performed by Richard Hayman & The Philharmonic Rock Orchestra

4. Introduce the theme: ‘Let’s Make a Circle’ written by Anne Porter Without speaking, get the children into a circle by singing ‘Let’s Make a Circle’ as in term four lesson one.
“Can anyone remember what we learnt about last week?” Ask a volunteer to name an animal that can be found in the jungle (e.g. lion, parrot, tiger, gorilla, sloth, and snake etc.). Everyone sings a verse of the ‘Let’s Make a Circle’ song, altering the lyrics to be about the chosen animal (e.g. ‘Let’s be a lion, a lion, a lion...’) and uses upper body to pretend to be the chosen animal whilst sitting. Repeat several times.

5. Fine motor skills: ‘Five Little Crocs’ (adapted from ‘Five Little Ducks Went Swimming One Day’, traditional)

6. Choreographed dance: ‘I Just Can’t Wait to be King’ performed by Jason Weaver, Laura Williams and Rowan Atkinson

Teach the children the tricky moves first, then play the track and perform the dance all together using the choreography from the video.
