I put it in my pocket and I took it home. (pull on remaining finger with other hand, tuck the finger away then pretend to put in pocket)

6. Choreographed dance: ‘Having Fun at the Beach’ performed by The Wiggles

Teach the children the tricky moves first, then play the track and perform the dance all together, using the choreography from the video.

7. Action song: ‘Going to the Beach’ written by Lucy Milan Davis
Sing the song acapella three times using the actions described below. Encourage the children to join in with the singing the last time you perform the song.
There’s lots to do in the summertime, (make a big arch with both arms going up and out in opposing directions)
But going to the beach is a favourite of mine. (marching on the spot)
You can build sandcastles in the sand, (bend down and slowly stretch up whilst stacking hands on top of one another to make sand castle)
And you can visit the ice cream van. (driving a van)
You can fly your kite, (hold kite and spin around)
You can swim in the sea, (breaststroke action)
But the best part of all is eating fish and chips for tea. (mime eating) YUM! (rub tummy)

8. Working with Props: ‘Oh I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside’ performed by Justin Fletcher

Reveal an egg shaker. Explain to the children that they will each get one but that they must practise with an imaginary egg shaker first. Tell them if they listen really well they will all get one. Teach the tricky moves first, then hand each child an egg shaker. Play the track and perform the dance all together, using the choreography from the video.
