Zheen Qr, an area spanning approximately 27,500 square meters, is on the verge of
undergoing a remarkable transformation as plans are underway to establish an educational

community that caters to the specific needs of a vulnerable population. This area is home to

a significant number of Syrian refugees, comprising around 750 households, as well as

approximately 500 households of internally displaced persons (IDPs). The government has
allocated a substantial amount of land within this neighbourhood, distributing 10,000 plots to

individuals. Out of these plots, roughly 6,000 houses have already been constructed. Notably,

among the beneficiaries are 4,500 Kurdish households, who will greatly benefit from the

               development of this educational community.

One of the primary reasons for the presence of Syrian refugees in this area is the prevalence

of poverty. The affordability of rental accommodations has made it possible for these refugees

to find homes in this community. However, it is important to recognize that the community

also includes internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees from other countries, such as
Iran and Turkey. All of these individuals face financial challenges and struggle to make ends

meet. Furthermore, the host communities themselves are grappling with poverty,

underscoring the urgent need to improve living conditions and infrastructure in the area.

Currently, the community has only one school, which has been under construction for several
months. As a result, a significant number of students residing in Zheen Qr face significant

barriers to education due to the lack of adequate school buildings. However, once the model

school building is completed, three additional communities—Old Daratoo, New Daratoo, and
the surrounding neighborhood—will also benefit from this educational facility. This expansion

will enhance access to quality education across the region.

It is crucial to note that the initial allocation of land within this area was specifically intended

for people with disabilities. Therefore, the establishment of the school holds particular
significance for children with disabilities residing in Zheen Qr. The school will provide them
