Pretty early the breeder of our Russian SS Dachshund Nezhnyj Hischnik Arrian told us – rath- er accidentally – that the WUT trials on blood track without judges would take place in Rus- sia in October 2016. Tempting pictures of mossy wood ground, lichen hanging from the trees
and endless forests... Yes, very exotic indeed!
My mother placed the trial rules purely accidentally here and there at the strategical points of
our house. A blood line about 1200 steps long (laid with elk* blood at this trial), 3 so called “wound beds” to pretend the animal had a rest, 3 turns, 5 special markers to prove that the dog had been on the track; judges would wait at the end of the line and given time would be 90 minutes.
Things became more serious, when the calendar in the o ce had marked the date October 1–2 with red writing “WUT World Championship Russia”. The visa for Russia was ordered, and after
