endless studies, the flights with a new Russian low budget airline “Pobeda” from Cologne to Moscow were booked. On board as hand luggage: our two SS Dachshund ladies Jippy anne Pichten and Nixe anne Pichten. Thanks to modern media (Facebook) we got the info

The next day was free for own expeditions, so we took the dogs for a walk along the Volga with gorgeous castles, monasteries and churches, until all the other participants had arrived. In the evening, we had a stylish dinner with lots of elk liver and elk stew and alcohol.
The judges were introduced, and we met Ste en Maar (the presid- ing judge) and Hans Ulrich Köcheritz from Germany, as well as Arty- om Galkin and Irina Kharitonova from Russia. When the last partici- pants had arrived and every handler had drawn a souvenir medal with the hidden track number underneath, it was early bed time.
Bright blue sky welcomed us the next morning and after a volu- minous breakfast all the participants, spectators, photographers
