University of Wisconsin—Stevens Point (UWSP) opera workshop students ham it up in the spring production of Gianni Schicchi. UWSP music faculty are equipped and willing to help you reach your career goals, be it on the stage or in the classroom.
Students from Mannes School of Music, part of the College of Performing Arts at the New School in New York City, took the stage in December 2018 in a fully staged production of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. The production was conducted by Julian Wachner with stage direction by Jordan Fein and staged by Emma Griffin.
The Mansfield University Concert Choir performed a noon concert in the Pennsylvania State Capitol Rotunda in April 2019. The choir has performed across the country as well as in 18 countries in Europe. The very active vocal program also involves Mansfield singers in operas, musicals, and vocal jazz each year.
Opera UCLA presented the world premiere of Lost Childhood, composed by Janice Hamer with libretto by Mary Azrael, in May 2019. Commissioned and developed by American Opera Projects, Lost Childhood was the first staged production of Opera UCLA’s new series by living female composers.
