May. Pollensa Wine Fair.
Held in the picturesque Pollensa Santa domingo Cloisters,
the island’s bodegas gather to celebrate the unique wines of the region. This popular annual wine fair is an opportunity to discover and taste some of mallorca’s excellent wines. Some of the bodegas offer special prices for purchases made during the event, promoting local wines to the wider public. So, if you appreciate a good glass of wine & would like to learn more about what the local bodegas have to offer, make this a must do experience.

July. Pula Film Festival.
Taking part in the amphitheatre in Pula every July is the Pula Film Festival. The festival claims to have the largest average number of visitors per film screening and has been running for 65 years. Each year an array of awards are presented including Golden Arena for Best Actor/ Actress, Best Special effects and Best Screenplay. if you’re a movie buff you won’t want to miss it!
Puglia.
August. Sant’Oronzo Parade.
Every August a procession of horses and knights parade
the streets of Ostuni in celebration of Sant’Oronzo, who is believed to have saved the people of Ostuni from the plague back in the 1600s. The festivities continue for three days and involve a variety of food, music and culture. The evenings end with firework displays lighting up the skies! This is one event you can’t miss.
Tenerife.
February. Santa Cruz de
Tenerife Carnival.
The carnival always takes place around February/ March and is the biggest in Europe. The festivities begin with the election of the queen of the carnival before the street parties begin and the carnival gets underway. The festival ends with the burial of a huge fake sardine on Ash Wednesday. If you’re looking for elaborate costumes, Latin American dancing and an abundance of glitz and glamour then look no further. The theme for 2019 is The deep Sea so dig deep to find a costume and join in the fun.
